For the best teacher ever...
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, you're the best English teacher I've ever met,
And you have a spectacularly personality. and I'm really over the moon for you being my teacher.
Your first video I saw was a year and a half ago. It was seven minutes video about how to understand fast English.
I'll be honest and say that i didn't realize a lot back then, but i knew immediately- i found the best! and i told myself that It wasn't the last time being here in this channel.
I'm so happy and satisfied that I actually did get back to this channel. I started considering English learning seriously since then, I have been spending time for learning, reading books, practicing, watching your videos, doing your advice, and thank god...!
today I'm so good at English,
I can literally put headphones and listen to your lessons and I can understand you without subtitles. I suddenly understand commercials I randomly see on YouTube or TV, I'm chatting with people from all over the world, and how to sum up?
"HARD WORK FOREVER PAYS"
It really-truly does.
There were some times English learning was nothing but a big frustration, and I even remember a cycle of three months I didn't learn English AT LL!!
I couldn't even look at the book in English I'd bought,
But... I didn't give up!
I've kept writing down new words and repeat after them, I just... Have never ever gave up!
I've tried all the tricks and exercises I knew to learn English, and nothing couldn't stop me.
That's the message that I deliver to all of you out there who might having difficulties with English.

Dear Vanessa!
I'm writing this message in this video because it the lastest you loaded, i wishhhh you'd read this message and reply me back...❤

Hi Vanessa! Thanks! I'm not a naturally assertive person. In fact, I was a bit shy when I was younger. However, it's a skill I've grown over time, so now I'm more assertive.

I am Indian. We speak English in British style. I searched YouTube to learn American style of English and slang. Checked many channels. Last subscribed to Madam Vanessa's channel. Vanessa's teaching style is the best and the fastest to understand. My daughter and husband are US settled. I think I should visit the US next year.

Hi Vanessa, thank you for all your great inputs. As a British English speaker, in respect of "out of pocket" we say, depending on context/meaning, "I/we /etc pay out of my / our own pocket(s)", "they paid out of their own pockets"; After paying all the bills "he was out of pocket". In sum: 1. "to pay out of your own pocket" = one has/has to pay not someone else; 2. "to be out of pocket" = disadvantaged financially/no money basically. Take care and I hope that helps.

Wow, this video is awesome! I learned so much English from it. I decided to learn a new language and struggle with it *of my own volition* . I would love to say I didn’t have to pay anything *out of pocket*, but I did some kind of tap dance on my keyboard in frustration before I discovered this channel. All that searching until I landed on this site was worth it *for what I got out of it* .

*As of* now, my vocabulary is *vastly* expanding (well, that’s how I feel when I nail a new word in a sentence 😅).

I love learning like *pulling* vocab *out of the hat* . So to avoid words that think I’m *looking down on* them from a high horse. It works for me, but I guess everyone has their own style and pace. *Case by case*, *person by person* .😊

Anyway, I wish I had an English teacher like you in school. My English skills probably would’ve been *on the rise* (and not on the contrary). But it’s never too late and trying hard might *mean something*, right? Your *good-hearted* influence on learning is truly commendable.

Oh, I almost forgot to answer the question! I *shoulda* started from that. Am I a naturally *assertive* person? I *would have* loved to say yes but, let me ask Google… or Siri… or Alexa… or anyone but me… 😂

I have been following you since early 2021. I always look forward to your new videos on Fridays. You are my favorite American English teacher. I can't afford to pay for your special course. That's okay. Your videos on YouTube are enough for me. I have leveled up my American pronunciation too just by watching your videos (old and new). I love you. Thank you so much.
