Vin Diesel has hinted to behind-the-scenes difficulties in the Fast & Furious franchise.
On November 29, the acclaimed actor and filmmaker came to Instagram to provide several behind-the-scenes perspectives on how to deal with the end of Fast and Furious.
Diesel wrote, "I have Universal in one ear, stating we need FastX2 by March 2026! I have Comcast in the other ear telling me we need two movies for the finale!"
He went on to describe how "then the writer on Fast Five sent me [an image of Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel] and said we need to see DOM and HOBBS resolve their differences."
The 57-year-old star expressed his desire for the last Fast and Furious film, stating, "I just want to get back to real street racing, practical stunts…and a reunion of that beautiful brotherhood."
For those who are unaware, Fast 11, which might be a sequel to Fast X, is set to be the "grand finale" of the Fast and Furious franchise, with a release date of somewhere in 2026, although the specifics are yet unknown.
It is worth noting that, despite their previous disagreement, Dwayne Johnson reappeared as Hobbs in Fast X's post-credits sequence and reconciled with Vin Diesel.
He also hinted to a Hobbs spin-off picture in June 2023 by scribbling on X (formerly Twitter): "The next Fast & Furious film you'll see the iconic lawman in will be the HOBBS movie, which will serve as a fresh, new chapter and build up for FASTX: Part II. Last summer, Vin and I put the past behind us.
