The thing i admired most about moore was his self effacing humour. He never took himself too seriously.

My great grandmother love this man. We would sit to watch him playing The Saint every Saturday and she always had to say that he was extremely handsome and that for sure in real life he was a gentleman. Such memories.

What an absolute gentleman. Effortless class.

If you didn't know him, you would be forgiven for thinking he was Royalty. He was MY Bond as a kid, my first introduction to James Bond in the cinema was The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.... Couldn't get better for a ten year old kid ❤❤❤

I love that old fashioned British understatement and humbleness.

I met Roger at a party in L.A. he was funny and charming, a true gentleman, something that's lacking these days.

I was lucky enough to meet Sir Roger several times as he regularly travelled through the airport where I'm based . I can vouch he was an absolute gentleman, friendly, and always smiling and happy to chat. We simply don't have real stars like that anymore.

Roger Moore was and still is the quintessential Englishman.

It has been said by many who met him that he was a great bloke, and he just proved it. More to him than him than meets the eye.

He was great, I’m glad we have several movies to watch to remember him by

Alot of those wonderful actors had interesting life's before acting. Very interesting man, great voice.

Roger's humility was probably the thing I liked best about him, he said when he left the army he was a captain - no mean feat - and the youngest one in the Country at that time! 😊

Had the best luck in my career to work with him a few times. I can’t say anything except he looked after you and didn’t want any fuss of him. He really was the most ego less actor I ever worked with.

He was a great bond for different reasons to connery. He played it tongue in cheek

I miss these kinds of interviews, intelligent on both sides, poised and with that good old fashioned humour our nation once had so much of.

as a young man I had the thinking that if I could be like Roger Moore I would be the quintessential English man suave and sophisticated. I didn't quite make the standard. RIP Mr Moore the greatest bond.
