You guys lost me at the 4 minute mark when you said the STI was more technologically trick. I love my STI but sorry, the EVO is the one with the trick powertrain. It's got active yaw control, real torque vectoring, and a selectable drive modes for different terrain. It's still sharper. It's still got more kick. Yes, the STI is more updated but more trick it is not.

Evo over sti. the final edition is still better and faster 0-60 time than ford RS with 40+ less hp. evo leaves a king in this segment. proud owner of a final edition CA149. EVO power!!

Bootleg Jonny Lieberman really shows his Subaru bias in this video. The Evo has tons of computer technology helping it stick to the road. It has AYC & ACD.

That Lancer/Evo body was designed in 2007 and still has no equal.

In my view the designers studied the lines on the 99/00 Gallant (my first Mitsu). Meanwhile Sub have updated the Impreza several times with no luck. This one actually looks like they tried to emulate (read steal) the front of the 9yr old Evo and also the brake vent on the front wheel arcs. Sad. But now that Evo is out of the game they should just copy everything unapologetically or tell daddy (Toyota) to buy out the Lancer/Evo patents from Mitsu :)

STI guy here.... I know people joke around about the new STI looking like an EVO but once they put them side by side... the front ends are almost identical lol I will stick with my Blobeye

Some of us out here don't want a daily driver at all. We just want our passion for lbft/hp/g to be indulged everytime we drive. Even if its just to the end of the street!

Evo>Sti any day ! Proud owner of CA#0279 :) ! I daily it and completely disagree with those guys on not doing so, the Canadian version got the nice leather and fabric combination Recaros and BBS wheels :)

I don’t think the “most updated” argument holds weight when you consider that outside of the transmission, the sti has ancient internals. They’re both pretty old cars yet subaru’s feels older. Imo the best car to get in that price range would be a Type R, Audi S3, or Mustang GT if we’re going to make those arguments.

Evo all day everyday. Its a way of life. If you want a daily driver buy an STI. If you want something special to build into your own buy an Evo. Times change but hopefully with Nissan involved more with Mitsubishi, they will bring it back in a new dominate form like the GTR came back. But much love and respect to both cars and the fans.

I'm pretty sure the Evo has a lot more computers controlling the drivetrain than the STI... A lot more...

the only and absolute only reason why the evo x still barely tops the sti is because of the factory forged mahl pistons, which makes it so you can handle way more power and torque than an sti when modded, that's why the 4b11t is a superior race engine than the ej25. otherwise at this point subaru has finally caught up right behind the sti.

I love my evo. But what saddens me the sti now looks almost identical to the evo like wtf... the really flat front end and the huge wing in the bag. Like run with me or run from me..: okay I'll run with you. I'm gonna look just like you since your discontinued. Smh
