Thank you! I bought backgammon for my children for Christmas. We watched many videos on how to play, they were very hard to understand. You made learning backgammon simple! Thank you for taking the time to help everyone!

I had a backgammon game in my house when I was growing up but never played because I didn't understand it. Thanks for your tutorial.

Whew!! Thank you soooo much!! I have a elderly client whom I care for and he just LOVES backgammon- trying to learn from this gentleman was tough - but after watching your awesome tutorials a couple times I have a much stronger grasp on this cool game!! You truly delivered the best tutorial online, and I went through many really bad tutorials before I found you!! Thanks 😊 again!!!!

A great refresher course - I played this all of the time years ago - and had forgotten how. My partner wants to play something besides computer games. Thank you!

Also, when you move one checker the whole score of your dice, the spaces you van move have to cut in two, so for example, when you roll 3&5, both the points that make 3 and 5 or 5 and 3 have to be clear. You can't just count 8 points in one.

Correction to your explanation at 3:00 . In international rules the dice can not land on a checker as you've said. But in American competition it is acceptable for a dice to land on a checker as long as it lands flat. In International games you will see that sometimes the checkers will have a groove in them, called a finger dish. This is fine since in international play dice are not allowed to land on a checker. But in American competition where dice are allowed to land on a checker only flat checkers are used.

You are doing a hell of a job explaining this to me. Far out. My buddy taught taught me chess a couple years ago. He can barely beat me now and yesterday he asked if i wanted to BG. I have read the rules. Worse then chess. I am following along right here.

For the opening roll, if a player's die doesn't land "cleanly" (landed on top of pieces or leaning) only that player re-rolls - you keep what you had "cleanly" rolled. Also, you do not count the Bar while moving your pieces.
