Truelly sad .. After 60 years the end of the Golden Earring, due to the illness of guitarplayer George Kooymans. But like true friends above all, there's no Golden Earring without George. Barry, Cesar and Rinus made the right choice never to perform any more as the Golden Earring.

Travelled from Ireland to see Golden Earring twice now. They didn't play Vanilla Queen on either occasion so I enjoyed it here. Got to meet them all backstage in Den Haag. They love their fans and I have loved them for almost 40 years. What a band. - prachtig !

Vandaag bekend geworden dat George Kooymans (72) lijdt aan ALS. Golden Earring zal niet meer optreden. Aan een tijdperk lijkt een einde te zijn gekomen. Heel veel sterkte voor George en familie namens leeftijd en stadsgenoot.

I'll never forget suddenly hearing the church bells playing Radar Love's intro when I lived in the center of The Hague. In the same street as Cesar Zuiderwijk actually!
