Can’t remember where, but the original stock GPS is a similar dongle that I found somewhere hidden on the drivers side but still external enough to function. Can just use that spot?

Unfortunately the stock Nav/rear cam don’t seem to be compatible with any new modules. But these units effectively replace them and their OG functionality.

Try Crutchfield, they can do the wiring for you with connectors to the original cabling. Essentially plug/play for you to install. Also custom instructions available.

It’s the best option I’ve found, but they don’t ship internationally which sucks for me in Australia.

NOTE TO EVERYONE - This problem was the AMP in the trunk right side, not the head unit, found one in a junk yard for $50, works perfect!

I would like to know if anyone has managed to get the converter to use the original rear camera and not the one that comes with the Android radio.

Were you able to find a unit that worked with the limited edition? I have a 2013 limited Elantra and wanted to upgrade but reuse the factory camera and wiring.

You can still use this unit but you will need an interface to use all of the features… fortunately enough I have a ‘13 GLS and the unit was in fact plug and play for me

My limited didn’t come with a backup cam so this might work for me.

I just ran into the same issue on my 2015 Limited Elantra. Did you find a fix or work around?

It is not inexpensive but on my Ford Focus 2007 I went with the Sony XAV-9000ES and in my wife's Elantra 2014 the Sony XAV-AX6000, Crutchfield sells all the wiring you need to build yourself or they also sell it plug and play. Although it is not needed I did purchase the XM receivers separately so they are there for future use if needed. I keep my automobiles a long time so I have no issue with spending on a good upgrade here and there. They both run and drive like new and the Elantra got a new engine last year by Hyundai due to the piston slap issues these engines were having because of poor QC at the time. When it comes to automotive radios Sony is Sony, it works. The Ford had a Sony XAV-701HD since 2013, zero issues just became outdated but can be repurposed.

You can use what's there without cutting. Would just require you look at the wiring diagram and pin out to the ones you need.
