I’ve pulled 30, 000 lbs with a 7.3 power stroke in a 99 F350. The most I’ve pulled in a newer truck, 2018 F450, is about 20k. I think these new numbers are crazy. The 99 has the same tire patch as the 2023. Stopping 30k+ with a truck this weight is crazy. 25k is a comfortable number tho I would probably do the max and then some if I had to but it wouldn’t be comfortable. At some point this one upmanship is going to get people killed if it hasn’t already.

I like the XL & XLT front ends the best out of all of the 2023 trim levels because the grill stops at the headlights and doesn’t flow into the headlights like on the higher trims. It looks so much cleaner and almost like a very similar look to the 17-19 Superduty front ends.

Didn’t even mention how much better it turns than a 350

Could you Compare this to a 350?? And yeah the turning radius is much better on the F-450.

Hey Ben. You asked at the end for feedback on a 450 vs 350 dually. Anyone wanting a Ford dually to tow or haul a camper in the bed looking at duallys should absolutely skip the 350 and go directly to a 450 if for nothing more than the tighter turning radius!

Just got mine delivered. Will pull our 19, 000 pound fifth wheel quite well, I'm sure. Can't wait to try it out as soon as the hitch arrives.

I was wondering when that truck was going into production. I'm glad Ford started building them. When did you get the first of them?

Forget all the bells and whistles, Will the transmission hold together?

It's the gearing that makes it feel different. 3.55 or 3.31 is going to feel faster with a lower end power diesel.

That thing is a has a purpose and does it massive weight constantly this is what you want

It is exactly a work truck....day in day out hauling big weight....

the rear gear ratio is likely a 4:30 unlike a single rear wheel - something like a 3:55 which will make this a lot slower off of the line. BUT it will go faster with a 15, 000 lbs trailer side by side to a swr.

The only down side to a power stroke is the fuel pump because when it goes out it will cost a lot of money to fix . Cheap part in a good motor .

Nice truck. Price is reasonable for what you get. Sounds like a school bus. 😀

Owning one of these is the next best thing to owning a Civic hatchback and having "fill it back to where the fuel gauge is now-remember it's diesel!" access to one of these from work for personal use.

81k for a truck that has a bench front seat and a physical key. Ford could learn a thing or two about base model features from Ram.

XLT? Or XL? My 23 F150 is an XLT and has quite a few more comfort options. I know you can pick and choose options but this seemed like more of an XL
