As a Tesla owner the auto park is great . Safe and accurate but a little to slow if it’s a busy parking lot…I know I’ve annoyed people trying this out.

The reson the system is slow is because safety happens first, then they will focus on speed.

Metz, worth to mention: Autopark is unavailable when Traffic-Aware Cruise Control is enabled. To use Autopark, enable Autosteer or Full Self-Driving (Supervised) by touching Controls > Autopilot.

Tesla has been a pioneer in that for a while now.. How does it do in poor lighting situations and/or snowed up parkings? What if some camera is covered with dirt fully or partially.
For me the other amazing part of the autonomous drive is summoning the car out of the parking.. sometimes it's very cramped up and you don't want to try to squeeze in there..

can't really back up into a diagonal parking spot (or at least not supposed to) so it makes sense since auto park only backs up

I have FSD Trial for a little while longer. Park Assist is excellent. I've used a number of times with no problems. I haven't parallel parked yet though. Wish it came with the car. Very good so far.

Obviously it backs in. Why wouldn't you want to back into a completely empty space and drive out forward into a crowd of people with cars going past. Parking backwards is what's supposed to be done whenever you have a driving test to get your license, so if you can't do something that simple, then you should have no business driving a car because you can't control it. Backing in is also (by far) the easiest way to get into tight spots.

lol. I love Teslas…. Only way I would spend nearly 17 min to watch a video of a person demonstrating parking a bunch of times. I prefer backing up most of the time but true on the trunk access. I think my car has the ultra sonics sensors….as it is a June2018. A bit faster would be nice but not too fast… I care about my car more than an extra minute most of the time.

I have a 2020 M3 with USS and it used to back into diagonal spaces before the switch to Vision. I miss that. Hope it comes back.

Focus in the video are pretty easy parking spots. I can’t see any use for that. People having issues with that kind of parking should not drive anyway. Would be interesting to see the actual result from outside like you did with the other cars to have the real view on the actual result. Looking at the parking line from the back camera sometimes it is still visible after finishing parking and some times not. A car showing the perceived line and the position might be misleading.

My super cruise does not work when there are no cars or barrier. Having to park between two cars gets me nervous if it strikes another car parked. So far parallel parking has not worked.

from my experience it works really good but it is really slow like an old grandma trying to park so i wouldn’t use it in high traffic / populating parking lots, it is very helpful with the parallel parking tho

My 2022 Tesla Model Y is having issues parking, and I'm sure it's because of the bike rack I have installed… Summon is also failing.
