Hello lettering friend! I’m Sarah from Ensign Insights. I started hand lettering in 2016 during a really difficult time and hand lettering reminded me how to be happy. I dove in head first and haven’t looked back! I started teaching lettering and sharing that joy I found with others. My goal is to help you create hand lettering that feels like your best self. Most recently I've been doing that through a Hand Lettering Journal. In 2021 my first book was published, Hand Lettering for Beginners. It includes everything I wish I had when I got started. I used to be addicted to buying new pens, and while I still love pens, I’m on a journey toward minimalism so I’ve been decluttering A LOT of pens. I’ve realized I’m more creative when I have just enough pens, not too many. I firmly believe that you can create something beautiful with what you have! The way you create right now is exactly where you need to be. Thank you for being here! :)

I just bought it today while at work. I will start the challenge after the long video you mentioned about the pens you used. Can't wait to try it. Although I struggle with hand lettering because I am left-handed, practice makes progress.

What type of tracing paper do you recommend to prevent the pen bleeding through?

Hi, I just wanted to ask what your opinion is on Karin brush marker pro vs Kuretake zig brushables twin toned. I am deciding whether to get the full 60-pack of Karins for 97 dollars or the full 24 twin-toned (48 colors) 47 dollars zig brushable set. I am right-handed so smudging is not a problem for me. I want to use my pens on Rhodia paper specifically a Rhodia web journal but I don't care about ghosting on the other side. I have pentel sign brush pens in all 24 colors, flair bullet tip pens from paper mate, full-color spectrum, Stabilo brush pen 68 full 30 colors, and Staedtler watercolor brush pens. I have watercolor paper and normal practice paper Hp Premium 32. Which one is better in your opinion based on my circumstances?

I absolutely adore your channel. But with the quick switching from letter to letter is very triggering and I can't watch it. I've had a stroke and I'm incredibly lucky that I'm high functioning. But, unfortunately, this(quick moving motion) is one of the things that impacts me highly. I love your channel and want to support your wonderful work and learn. But I won't be able to watch the ones that are edited this way. I'm not asking you to change anything because it's your channel and your work is amazing. 💞
But I like to speak about it to help( hopefully) give knowledge to creators and editors because there's a lot more of us impacted in this way than people know.❤

I have your book and your your library so I can still learn in that way. I just love videos to learn most.
