It's post modernism, Arielle. It's very frustrating to argue with and makes these people so insufferable.

Remember when everyone was just regrettably emo for a while? Simpler times.

I stop trying to understand these people. At this point, it’s like they’re all trying to one up each other.

5 years from now is going to be so confusing for everyone. We'll just revert back to grunting for communication.

As a butch woman myself, I like referring to me and my other butch lesbian friends as "lads" or "gentlemen" kind of like how gay men do with each other in the feminine sense, however, I don't really think that the he/him lesbian has the same meaning now that transgender activism is so prominent. Shit is so ass backwards now nothing and everything feels like it has meaning and at this rate, I prefer just not to get involved.

Why are people so afraid to identify as bisexual/pansexual? Lesbian is a pretty narrow term (which is obv not bad), and the label of bisexual so easily lends itself to broad definitions. The biphobia is real

I'm beyond over this. I'm a lesbian and recently someone assumed my butch girlfriend wanted to be male and used he/him pronouns to her face. "I mean you do want to be male right?" She was kind and explained no, she's not male or wanting to be male, but it's just, idk. I'm so over it.

Im convinced these people spend their days thinking 🤔 “how is it that I can confuse people today?”

The people who fixate on pronouns seem to just want attentions. Your "identity" doesn't define you. I am autistic but it doesn't define me. My loyalty, stubborness, defiant nature, and resilience define me. If they are this starved for attention, then maybe they should seek help in accepting themselves.

Thank you for being brave enough to talk about these issues regardless of being labeled a "TERF"

This is why so many people get confused. The intersectional lot are constantly contradicting themselves at every turn. “Your pronouns make you who you are except pronouns don’t define who you are”. As the saying goes, make it make sense.

Arielle, thank you for putting in the effort to deal with this shit I can't even. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I understand why they use pronouns in that way. It is as almost every other thing in this topic: to stand out, to draw attention

No I think it just creates more confusion. Re-defining words breaks down community and creates mis-understanding and further alienation. Love you too!

This is just tomboy lesbians forgetting about the term tomboy.
