In this quick follow up, I answer some questions about the D&D Table that I built and why I chose some of the hardware that I did. I also show more details about the hidden dice towers and go over future improvements I might add.

Suggestion: Retractable DM Privacy screen (By screen I mean the thing that blocks DM notes and dice rolls from the players.

For the super saiyan tryhard tech craftsmen out there: think of the Reactable synth instrument. With figures that have NFC of whatever kind so, for example, you enter a campaign and place your character down on the screen and a little animation plays or their name and basic stats are displayed. Let your brains run with that. I can’t be the first guy to think of it. Shit skylanders been killing that market.

I’m an idea man.

Your video made me subscribe. As one who builds odd and interesting stuff (and gets paid for most of it), I think your work is amazing, as I know the level of work it takes to make this kind of stuff.

the algorithm led me to your table build and I subscribed. I've been doing some furniture woodworking for a year now, and have been commissioned to make a D&D table. Your built in dice towers are a great inspiration. Thank you. I might just add some drink coasters glued to the top of them instead of trying to make them flush when hidden. For the first time making box joinery, you did a great job.

Really nice stuff, just saw both your videos, fantastic choice of table😍 I built one myself as wedding gift for friends and right now I'm making another one just because I can and it's fun:P

I've been designing something like this, I want to track minis on the table to work with characters line of site. You can use roll20 or other apps with it.
I'm thinking infrared glass or camera tracking.
Your build video gave me a better way to build the physical table. Now I just need to figure eout how to track the minis.

I came upon the table build video yesterday. It's not often that I subscribe after just one video, but I felt the vibe that I'd enjoy your other builds too (despite having only seen one).
The fact that you're putting out this video shows you care both about your project and your viewers, which I really appreciate. I look forward to more builds in the future, whatever they may be.

Sorry I too am late to seeing this video, and the first one. But thank you for doing it, and the original one. I would ask not only could you post a parts list, but where you ordered your tempered glass from, and what the cost for that was too... I'm not that great at wood working, but at least I can explain to anyone I can contract to make one of these how I want it, and supply the hardware, and other items needed to make it. Looking forward to your next project.

A suggestion I am employing: you can embed cylindrical magnets in the table, and build a wooden dm screen with opposing magnets, so it kinda snaps into place when you put it on the table:)

Seeing a Tau firewarrior Breacher helmet from warhammer 40k would be pretty sick

Awesome table..! Next build, maybe a Gonk droid that opens into a mini bar, charging station, or mobile projector?

You should try to do some airsoft gun/suit tech like polar stars and such. You might enjoy it.

Just a word of warning in regards to OLEDS. They can suffer from pretty noticeable burn in, especially when it comes to static images. So like dnd maps and stuff. Might be better off with standard LED?

One idea I would like you to do, get a mallet used to play xylophone and start to hit stuf with it and listen to the sounds. After listening to tons of songs after listening to tons of materials, make the (insert greek name of material here)phone with the material that has best sound at your opinion.

id love to see a really cool pc desk build, something that just looks nice but is not cheap looking

Rather than popup dice towers, you could have them lay sideways and stand up when in use. It might be less hardware.

Really good follow up to you last video. I greatly enjoyed it. I wanted to ask what the book in your thumbnail is? The one next to your resin inlay.
could you make a showcase viedeo or share pictures of it, only if you are comfortable with it.
For a future project I think a mage/wizard cloak or costume would be grate. Maybe something with a deep hood (assassins creed style) so that's your face "lays in shadows". it could also funktion as a Dungeon Master costume. I find the idea of a little roll playing great. A shadowy room only player's, the DM and parts of the desk are lit, the DM sits a little higher than the players/in sth. throne like / or both ? very faint dungeon background sound is playing (loundnes of whispers) the dungeon master speaks in a deep rumbling voice "Adventurers long have I waited, for thee new chalenger to appear, but I shan't delay any longer, thee campaign may begin

And then the door slams open the lights go on and the kids come thundering in to cuddle . : )

Sorry for the long winded description, I have just become inspired while writing this. thx
