In 2016, Ricardo Escobar (lead guitar) and Antonio Valdés (bass) arrived in Helsinki, and the dream of moving to Finland to make metal music finally came true. By now, the band, which would later become Ulthima , had been worked on for six years, first in Mexico and then a few years in France. Many candidates were screened in Finland until the team was finally assembled. Jon Welti ended up on the rhythm guitar, Niko Sutinen on the keyboards, Ville Nummisalo on the drums
and Tuomas Antila on the vocals. Last year, Ulthima recorded his debut album from material
that had been worked on in Mexico since the band’s early days. Ulthima has made a Rollercoaster Ride of a Debut Single that Mixes influences from Symphonic, Folk & Melodic Death Metal into one tasty Cocktail ! Ricardo's biggest inspiration for Ulthima's music has been Finnish melodic death metal from the early 2000s, such as Children of Bodom and Kalmah . Central to Ulthima’s music
are epic melodies, rough vocals and fast riffs. Cheers Metalheads !
