7 Reasons I Hate My Shelby GT500 Mustang

Hello, it's me.. I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to know the 7 reasons I hate my Shelby GT500? :D I've been seeing all the cool kids on youtube are making videos on reasons why they hate amazing cars, so I figured I'd put together a quick video about why I hate my mustang so much too.

It's no secret, that I love my Shelby GT500, but there are some downsides to it too...

So I made this video, to go over everything I hate about my Shelby GT500.

I've forgotten how it felt, to drive a normal car at this point, so I may be biased a bit.

At least I can say that I've tried, to warn you about some downsides to driving a Shelby GT500 if you're looking into getting one.

But it don't matter, it clearly tears apart tires and it's fun as hell.

I sold my Terminator and bought a 2012 GT500. I love it and have absolutely no regrets but I do miss the IRS. The GT500 is a little bit bigger than the Terminator as well and it’s a noticeable difference. Everything else is definitely an upgrade - especially the interior. No rattles, squeaks, or pops.

What years did the Shelby have that notorious shifting issue? I drove a '12 and I drive my '13 regularly, but have not noticed any issues with the 1-2 shift at high rpm.

Reason number 6 can be cured with a MGW shifter. I haven't installed one in my Shelby yet but I heard only good thing about it. You should give it a try.

i have been running the nitto tires. ntt05 good tires. but not for rain.. I wanna upgrade stuff just don't really no where to start. I have exhaust already.

If you get a chance try reading some vintage car magazine road tests of musclecars (64-74 era). Unlike the fawning, pandering, present day reviews of those cars, the old, back in the day road tests weren't shy about their criticism even with the darlings of that era. But look how those cars are adored now. My point is: embrace your live-axle Shelby, flaws and all. And maybe take a ride in one of the old classics to put things in perspective.

That first to second is brutal. Makes me want to get rid of mine. And of course when you take it in (to Ford) they do nothing about it. You basically just have to wrestle it in and hold it just a tad longer so it doesn't grind or shift early.

DUDE!!! The reason #6, I thought that only happens to me... I have a 2014 GT, but I see that the problem is the same!!! That sucks so much, specially when I go to the drag strip... it's a pain to change in high revs from the 1st to 2nd, and many times from 2nd to 3rd gear!! WHY TF is that??? Also, this Shelby is off the chain!!! :D

I never have driven a stock gt500.But I am sure it still feels fast.
