I grew up in the 80s. We had the PMRC and Senate hearings over the music of Twisted Sister, John Denver, Frank Zappa and more. We laugh - we roll our eyes and mock them today. We recognize how ridiculous it all was. After all, "we turned out ok"... NO, we BECAME our parents. Cut it the hell out and give your own kids the credit you would have wanted.

You have to admit that they are very well organized because they are showing up in every school district in the country with the same talking points. The rest of America just thinks that they are crazy, but that small drip of hate and intolerance is eroding our institutions and it is gonna take decades to repair that damage. I just can't believe how atrasados and unread some of these people are.

When a Biblical literalist uses the phrase "it's a scientific fact", I can't help but roll onto the floor laughing from their absolute lack of understanding what a scientific fact is by definition and in practice. Many of these literalists would cherry pick the discoveries of science to support their views, but a scientific fact is no real scientists have ever used the Bible as scientific evidence.
