PATH of EXILE 2 - Closed Beta Dates, Early Access Confusion, What PoE 2 Devs are Testing, and More!

The first Path of Exile 2 Closed Beta Test invites just went out last night, and they sparked plenty of PoE2 discussion, lots of PoE 2 questions, and more. I figured I would make a second video on the matter, answering everyone's questions as best I can, alongside explaining the difference between PoE2's early access and closed beta periods.

Tri is definitely the PoE 2 news guy to go to. Plus Johnathan Rogers has clearly said there will be a closed beta first before EA, so I don't know why people are pissed. He said it in a couple interviews now. I don't get people sometimes, we have an awesome league right now that should last until November/December. And personally, I'd rather GGG have a small select closed beta group of people hand selected to really break the system and actually report bugs.

I'm not sure why there is so much entitlement in some cases. Most Closed Betas are testing hardware and of course bugs and gameplay experiences.
We won't know the exact details on how Early Access works, but I can see most that has spent a good amount of money on POE will get in Early Access without a cost. I've only spend maybe $60 for stash tabs and the like but even if a support pack will cost $30-$40 for Early access, it will be well worth it compared to other games in the Genre *cough* D4 expansion *cough*.

I think your guesses are probably spot on- I haven't played PoE1 at all this year and have a GTX 1070 with a 12 year old CPU. I'll be happily melting my hard working old rig into a puddle running this beta all week though.

I have rather outdated system 1080, i7, 16gb. Never played PoE, but a lot of D3/D4. That‘s what I answered in the survey. Im surprised that I got the invite. Im really looking forward to the game.

I have an AMD RX580 and havent received an invite (I filled in the survey). And its strange to me that only GPUs were a question in the survey, as CPUs are quite important to hardware limitations.

13900k/3090 FE. I'm not a particularly active member of the community and it's been a while since I went hard on a league, so I suspected my hardware was the primary reason for my invite. I'm sad I can't talk about it with my friends, but very excited to get a first look at the game and see what it can do. I hope my data is helpful.

3070, 12700F, 32GB. Didn't get the invite, but that's fine. Although I wanted to check it out, I doubt that I could've spend a lot of time "testing" it, because these days I mostly play something when the mood strikes me, which is not that often anymore due to how exhausting work is.
All in all, I suppose I'll check it out with the rest of you, when the time comes.

Good on you to make a second video trying to explain things. People need to not be upset. Worst case is we have a matter of 3-4 months. I'm just curious about Xbox CB, and you kinda answered that almost straight away lol
