Has LEGO changed for better or for worse?

I like the trees in the new set but, that still can’t convince me to buy the set. It’s extremely overpriced.

I LOVE that classic luke figure. Those black legs and arms on with the printing on the body- I feel nostalgia and favor for something i never had

Definitely an upgrade, love the new bike and scout trooper

I kinda like the older models.
They were limited and required you to use your imagination and actually felt like something worth playing with.
Newer sets you don't feel the urge to play with

Man that old set was $10. Today it would be $50 if it just released

I would argue the speeder bikes from the OG set are not only better looking but more accurate than the 2023 set.

It went from having a tree, to having two trees

Lego is really stepping up in quality

The speeder bike is definitely an upgrade. But the og one is very nostalgic

I loved the old trooper helmets with the open visor and balaclava head

I have the original set, gifted to me for my birthday when I was a wee boy. The difference is one is a toy to be played with and one is for sitting in a shelf.

Those old Scout Troopers look really good for their age!

I like that the older Lego sets hard to get creative with some build while V modern Lego sets has the entire collection to pick from for parts that were made already

I'm happy you're doing more shorts dude ;)

I’d still probably take the old set, there’s a certain charm to mid to late 90s and early 2000s Lego sets that I can’t really describe. Probably nostalgia

That was the first Lego set I ever bought with my own money.

I had gotten a cold or something (I don't know, this was, like, twenty+ years ago) and was just getting over it when my Mom offered to let me order a Lego set from the Lego Magazine/catalogue. I still remember how surprised I felt because Mom would always complain about the magazine and how it was a sneaky way of advertising to kids (which I totally see now that I'm older). It was a pretty sweet set at the time, and it was a cheap one, too. Not like the "cheap" sets that are $25 a pop and only include three minifigs and some obligatory set piece.

I love that your doing shorts now too! Adds another layer to the onion that is the MandRproductions channel.

It’s a highly sophisticated interlocking brick system

Lego was NEVER just a "kids" toy. People of all ages are capable of enjoying Lego, young & old.

I prefer the old set because it was affordable for everyone and kids loved it
