It's time I tried to build my own mocs some more, so despite my lack of parts and greater lack of talent, I tried to build an Endor build from LEGO Star Wars in 2 hours

Way to go, Holly, with exercising those MOC-building muscles on this fun vignette! Always neat to see people trying new and creative things within our chosen medium, nice walkthrough video.

I think this is adorable. You're doing what Lego is made for, just doing what you want with what you have!

These Lego StarWars sets are awesome! Another series to fall in for my kids and I after the Marvel sets 🤣

That’s really good for 2-3 hours! I would suggest if you have the pieces, use some 1x2 and 1x4 green pieces dotted along the edge of the mud path to break up that straight line!

I like the diorama style moc, you should do more!

this is awesome! If this is your first moc then very impressive! feel like a speeder bike going down the path would be a perfect final touch! and maybe have leia and an ewok sat on the log and the scout trooper on the other side for a nice little reference. Buzzing to see your future creations!

I think you could easily do a MOC of the Umbara episodes from The Clone Wars. It would be a great way to use some Friends color pieces like purples and more curvy bricks as they are not used in too many MOCs.

That is really nicely built. I enjoy the colors.

Nice start of building dioramas! If I may give you one tip. If you create levels instead of having a flat surface it creates so much more depth into the moc! I know you were limited on pieces and places but in case youre going to build another moc make the floor 3D :) Water is lower, add some hills. Use more colours like dark and light versions of the colours.

Really would love to see what you can make!

I built a moc an Ahsoka starfighter out of two Obi wan starfighters 75333(and a couple of extra pieces), it looks great imo i'm really impressed. I put pictures on the Lego reddit.

Looks like a great start and you'll be ready for UCS Shrek's Swamp for Moctober this year!

In this video we get to see you talk more about your moc then we get to see it :) I am working on a moc as well although it's a larger one. I'm not good at it but each time I get better. Something I try to keep in mind is that there should be a story inside the moc.

Very well done, Holly! I've been doing something similar myself with adding diorama bases to sets like Duel on Mustafar and Dark Trooper Attack, etc. I also spent a lot of 2022 finally finishing off my Batcave MOC for the 100th time, well 5. I exaggerated there. Really proud of it. Hope to add lights to it in future.

04:49 hmmm….if I was gonna build a small Endor MOC in that size I probably would’ve gone for the speeder bike chase scene. Easy enough to switch up the colours on the speeder bike from the Snowtrooper battle pack and double it, and creating a suitable Luke and/or Leia figure wouldn’t be too tough.

And remember not everybody can MOC just like not everyone can paint the Mona Lisa. Fortunately LEGO as a hobby in terms of skills needed isn’t that high, so long as you have instructions and the parts you can build pretty much anything. And their are plenty of places to find MOC instructions, sometimes free some pay a small price.

And it maybe someone else’s idea and building instructions but it’s still a MOC just not one you’ve personally designed (but you can always modify them anyway).

Good example is the Creator Expert Mustang. I love that set but preferred the look of the Mustang as a convertible. My designs skills aren’t enough to MOC that myself but fortunately I found a YT video of instructions that literally show you how to build the set as a convertible! Easy!

Well done that turn out freaking amazing considering the lack of pieces you had. I’ll full support you on moc building. Best way to moc build is have lots of pieces and colours which means a good reason to buy more sets lol 😂

This is great! I need to start doing some MOC’s because of the lack of HP sets at the moment
