How A Pro VR Dev Knows A Game Is Good

As a VR dev, I know a game is really good when I stop focusing on how the game works and start enjoying the game.

Does anyone else have that problem? Just me?

Idk… I’m a numbers and statistics guy. So I find enjoyment in knowing every little detail I can. For more story driven games like JRPG’s, I often find myself spending up to a couple hours figuring out every combat mechanic given to me (often with the help of YouTube) before even getting past the first section of the game haha. Anyone else like this or just me :p

Edit: another example is Phasmophobia. I’ve played it since launch and the only reason I still play it is because I know every single secret of the game and can dissect what ghost it is based off very very little information, and to me, that’s so fun.

I enjoy kicking objects around in games or just the physics of the game itself

I bought the quest 1, 2 months before the quest 2 was announced (no one knew about it yet) so that sucked. that shit is like having a brick on your face that quest 3 looks like a dream. Sadly tho can’t spend the money on one. Vr gaming is amazing. Just wish my head didn’t start hurting because of the weight after 20 mins 😞 I wanna play so much more
