This is great, but I submit to you that Tommy Boy already is a heart-wrenching drama.

Man, it is a very sad thing that Chris never got the chance to play something beyond the endlessly charming oaf his filmic career consisted of. The boat scene at the end of Tommy Boy showed he had more to offer than to just play variations on Watch Tubby Fall Over. RIP.

Despite being a comedy, this movie really had a lot of heart. This trailer basically shows you the actual story. The comedy parts are mostly fringe benefits. Thumbs up.

This would actually have to be Farley's only take on dramatic roles in his career despite it being a comedy movie. He has done what Sandler did with movies like Punch Drunk Love or Williams with Mrs Doubtfire. RIP Farley.

This movie has one of the best scene transitions in film. The transition between the father's celebratory wedding reception and his mournful funeral. As the father falls down to the ground during his wedding reception, the guests begin to gather around him. The camera, from the angle of the father's position on the ground, shows a gathering of people looking down at the body. As the camera comes up and away from the crowd, it reveals that they are gathered around the casket at the funeral, while a lone bagpipe playing Amazing Grace fades in.
