It’s not just about finding out what your “voice” suits. It runs much deeper than that. It’s about what your soul suits! It’s got to be a style of music that you can relate to and have a passion for. If you are true to yourself, you will find your voice and style drifting towards the music that you love.

But can't you also mould your voice to any genre you want? 

Yes your voice has certain qualities, but I don't think there's such a thing as being born with a "jazz voice" or a "pop voice" etc.

Genre is a STYLE, not a voice type. I'm only saying this as a person who's been learning how to sing for nearly 4 years with the experience I have.

funny enough i always picture you singing Rock --- for some reason -- not Jazz
