Bruh it's been a while since a true exposition on comic characters has been done in such a succinct and honest way... We need more of these and please follow this up with doom and magneto etc

Here's the thing about Joker's argument that no one seems to mention: The rules that he rails against were created specifically because the world is cruel and random, to mitigate the chaos as much as possible. The chaos of existence will never fully go away, but it can be fended off. Society has chosen to fight chaos because it's cruel, because it's unjust, because despite the evil that exists in the world, most people unlike the Joker, want something better.

Spiderman would easily prove that Joker's Philosophy is wrong as Spidey's life is full of bad days and still tries to be a hero despite all that.

The most compelling superhero stories are the ones where the villain is either right or makes an undeniable point. Thanks for putting this one up Rob.

Nothing beats a good morning then to listen to Rob talk about Comics especially about the Crown Prince of Crime the Joker.

Joker: "And as you can see I'm a lot happier! HA HA HA!"

and the gordons didn't have a bad day as inflicted by the Joker?

his a madman justifying his evils as neccessary for a 'greater' good.

I’m down for more videos like this- The philosophy and driving points of polarizing characters is what makes stories and comics so fun to get into. Keep these coming!

Allow me to give you a counter argument: The killing joke. The Joker belive in the “one bad day” gets thrown back to his face. Gordon still remain sane after that night. Batman is one bad day in the opposite direction. And Barbara one bad day made her way way way more popular than she could ever be.

Every time i hear the jokers origin. I just want a canonical cross over drama of the Joker meeting Spiderman and hearing how every day for Parker is just one more bad day.

Rob: "Joker has a point"
Also Rob: Goes on to highlight stories where Joker completely fails to prove the points he sets out trying to make..

Why are people quick to say Joker has a point but not Superman?

Injustice superman (and the injustice universe as a whole) is one of the best examples of Joker's ideology put in to practice, all it takes is one bad day.

Thing is he is a weak coward. We have seen time and again if Batman leaves he gives up, he tends to stop. Which show most of what he did through all the years are nothing but lies to comfort himself. Otherwise he would continue on, he needs a reason to do what he does and his obsession is Bruce.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Bruce on the other hand just goes on as normal if Joker isn't there. Which hurts Joker more than hr can ever admit.

But the Joker is wrong. He didn't have one bad day. He was already unstable.

Two-Face hid away all his emotions until it snapped. From the outside, it looks like he had one bad day, but he didn't.

Jason Todd didn't become Red Hood purely because of his death. He was already very violent and didn't like the no killing rule.

In fact, even after torturing Gorden, he remains sane because he actually just had one bad day.

It isn't one event that made people snap. The event is the straw that broke the camel's back.

So the joker is basically the ultimate debate lord? He’ll go to unimaginable lengths to prove his point
