Potential impact of Western sanctions on Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that any sanctions the West places on his country, will backfire. Both the European Union and US are considering financial punishments. Al Jazeera's Kim Vinnell examines their shared business interests and the impact sanctions could have.

WTF? The US exports only 1b annually into Russia? This must be a mistake.

Most Western Nations are being very careful in their dialogue, except the US. If the US is suspending military co-operations with Russia, how come there is a US warship on its way to the Black Sea and will be there in about 3 days? This has moved beyond the good people of Ukraine and their troubles.This is now about the US and Russia.

Globalization has created inter dependency among us. in Russia's case, other European nations can buy chemicals from other countries such as Canada, India and Pakistan. Sanction will definitely affect Russia.
