Magnificent video and magnificent edition; Thank you for bringing to light an issue that for me was unknown, till today that the Light of the ABS was set on my car's dashboard.
Blessings 🙏

I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, 3.7 Engine V6 w/only 74, 000 miles bought it brand new. About 16 months ago, the ABS light came on the Dashboard, thought it was the rear sensors, I changed out both, but the ABS Light did not go out. So I took it to back to the Dealer where I had bought the truck way back then. So the issue was the ABS Modulator, had it replace cost about $1, 800.00 Drove really good for about 18 months, and last month the ABS Light came back on again, now I am not a mechanic, and am not mechanically incline. Just a few basics, I went to several shops, they all told me the same thing, ABS Modulator w/code C-1073, again it was the ABS Modulator. Finally took back my truck to the Dealers, they said, ABS Modulators are no long made, but they are Re-manufactured, in other words rebuilt w/a 6 month Guarantee . So I paid about $800, and the Re-built ABS Modulator was installed and Re-program. All is well, but what I want to say is, I am keeping this truck till one of us goes up into the sky, either me or the truck. So this time that I had another ABS Modulator installed, I told the Dealership I wanted the ABS Modulator that was on the truck to be given back to me. And I got it back, and am sending it off to have it repaired. I will tell you why, because it is ALL READY PROGRAM for My Truck. The Cost to Re-built the ABS Modulator is only about $300 total, but those that are sold, are not Programed for the car or truck it is going in too. That's why Companies ask you for a Vin Number when inquiring for a ABS Modulator. Getting back the ABS Modulator may save me money down the line, but it is the Programing for my own truck that is most important to me.. So am back on the road, and Merry Christmas to all.

Thank you so much. This is my current situation with my Chevy Equinox 2016 that happened today. I panicked and rushed to a local repair shop for a diagnostic and got a quote for $800 to replace the ABS module 🥲🥲. My heart dropped from that shocker.
So I resorted to Googling the issue and your YouTube video popped up for the reset trick so I will definitely try that in the morning. If not, I will refer back to this specific video for additional help.

Thank you tons. I will post an updated comment if all is successful either way.🙏🏾

Great presentation.

The control circuits on these ABS systems are typically low voltage, low amperage, which means you need to check the ABS Module grounds after you check the fuses, or check the separate voltage values either at the wheels yourself, or the voltages coming into the ABS module while a second person helps you by spinning each separate wheel one-at-a-time, but at a uniform rate. As I understand these systems, the interaction between magnetic part of the sensor assembly and the notches in the rotating wheel on the hub assembly generates the voltage measured as the wheel turns. Trucks are usually exposed to harsher conditions than cars, and exposure of the wheel sensors and connectors to water, sea water at the beach, salted roads, etc. over the years can result in degraded sensors at the wheels, or poor or corroded grounds or bad connections where the system wires connect to the push-on or screw-on connectors. Any of these issues can cause voltage variations that prevent the ABS system from knowing whether or not all 4 wheels are rotating at substantially the same speed, and if the signals aren't the same, the ABS light comes on.

The profit margin between replacing the ABS Module and the sensors and sensor wiring on 4 wheels and bleeding or replacing the brake fluid is about $1, 000 to 1, 500 more than doing the checks he recommended, plus checking the grounds. The ABS module can be replaced with a new one, if necessary, without replacing the valves it is attached to, but it is likely it will have to be re-programmed for your specific vehicle. Programming Specs are often available online, but require special equipment. The alternative is sending a defective ABS module to a specialty shop which can repair the old one, and do any required programming. Costs vary, but usually much cheaper than having a new one programmed and installed - unless you have a shop that does this locally, it can take about ten days to send it and get it back, due to shipping times.

P.S. The white illuminated board you have behind you in your videos is interesting, but it leaves your face in the shadows. Viewers like to see faces; something for you to consider.

Thank you, thank you and thank you for making the comments on having a secondary support for a jacked up vehicle. I see so many vids of people working under a vehicle with only one hydraulic support. Especially do not trust a hydraulic jack. My engineer dad and military training drilled this into me for years. It is a golden rule of working on heavy items. A set of jack stands is a cheap safegaurd and way cheaper than a hospital visit or a funeral. The video content on the troubleshooting was great.

Loved the video. Just trying to find ways to check my abs on our Chevy Colorado 2012 ABS system before taking it to a mechanic. Thanks much --great advice on what to check on. Will try what I can.

Overall good video, only one point that I have issue with. The two block fuses are not dealer only and can be purchased at most parts stores and even most Wal-Marts in the automotive section.

Absolutely PERFECT video and way to fix (or in my case) have knowledge of what is causing this issue on my old Dodge Truck.

Great video. Very clear and concise. I have a 2009 F 250 and my ABS light comes on intermittently. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern to it. The brakes are working fine without the ABS. I bought a Blue driver scanner and I’m getting code C1096 Pump Motor Open Circuit. I’m going to dive in on this next week, but was wondering if because it is intermittent, do you have any insights?

2006 Toyota Highlander 3.3L gas. I'm having an ABS issue, which I was told by my mechanic, that the first step is to replace the abs module. I'm getting the following codes C1223, U0073, U0123, U0124, U0126, C0371, and C1281 I can't find anyone that will rebuild my abs module. I understand they are extremely expensive at the dealer and I believe they are discontinued. I thought about buying a used one, but I don't know where to get it reprogrammed. I heard the dealers don't reprogram them unless it's a new one. Does anyone know where I can get it rebuilt? Oh by the way, the issue that started all of this was the day after bought it. It drove fine at the dealership and the next day, i was on a busy road and all of a sudden it lost power while accelerating and I would have to push the accelerator down all the way just for it to move 10 mph. The abs lights came on and the traction control as well. I'd appreciate any advice. The shady dealership told me I had a 1 week/1000 mile warranty that if ANY THING went wrong that they'll fix it. I called them and they said to look at my paperwork that I bought it as is and they refused to help me in any way. I did take them to court and won. I received a full refund and I was able to keep the car for free, minus the $750 I had to pay an attorney.
