In this video I show the procedure I used to reset the vehicle stability assist VSA warning which also includes reset of the amber / yellow triangle with an exclamation mark and ABS light in a Honda.
Vehicle used in this video was a Honda accord but it works on many models of Hondas. I will list as many as I know of below that this works on.

Hi Gerard, Thank you for this, my message appeared after a Diag Tool check too. I wrote this out and have added it to your comments in case anyone want to copy paste your instructions and go out to the car with it.

Part 1 Resetting the ABS Icon

Connect pin 9 to pin 4

1. Hold Break down
Turn Ignition ON
ABS light will illuminate
Wait for ABS light to extinguish

2. Release brake
ABS light will illuminate
Press Brake Again
Light will extinguish again

3. Release Brake pedal once again
This time ABS light will blink twice and extinguish for good - confirming the reset

Part 2 Resetting the VSA
Connect pin 9 to an Earth

1. Turn Ignition ON
2. Wait for the ABS light extinguish
3. Select VSA switch to OFF
4. Wait for the ABS light to illuminate
5. Select VSA switch back to ON
The ABS light should now be set and all the warnings should be cleared.
Check by turning Ignition OFF and back ON, all Warnings should extinguish

Worked for me, although the timing on the VSA button push needs to be quick (don't hold it). Took me four tries-- here's the procedure I used thanks to your video:

STEP 1
Pin 4 and 9
Hold brake pedal down
Turn ignition on
ABS light comes on
ABS light turns off
Remove foot off brake pedal
ABS light turns on
Hold brake pedal down
ABS light turns off
Remove foot off brake pedal
ABS light should blink twice

STEP 2
Ground pin 9
Switch ignition on
ABS light goes off
Press VSA off button quickly
ABS light comes back on
Press VSA off button quickly
All warning lights should be off

Thanks for sharing this DYI tip on how to reset the ABS & VSA warning lights. I tried this reset process and all our brake-related lights turned off, saving me a bunch of $$$!! We had a leaking windshield that caused the VSA light, ABS and BRAKE lights to stay on after a really bad rain storm (1/2" water on the driver side floor mat). After having the windshield replaced, we took the 08' Accord to the dealership to have it diagnosed; they said the VSA modulator needed to be replaced, for $2045!! My net search on this issue found this video and 2 minutes later, all lights were reset... thanks for posting, Gerard !!!

Straightforward and to the point unlike other channels where it takes the host 5 minutes talking about nothing just to keep the viewer on to help his channel's engagement. 💪

Thank you for sharing, this procedure worked for my Honda Pilot 2007. I had the VSA light turned on when a mechanic did a full scan trying to find a code for a transmission issue, I have a cheap USB scanner and i was getting code 84, you have to do the two step for this to work, clear ABS then VSA, however, you can perform this procedure by letting the jumper clip on the OBDII connector between pin 9 and 4, pin 4 is ground, therefore, the second step when you remove the clip and bring another ground was not really necessary, you can perform both systems reset without removing the jumper clip, i just did it and the VSA light is gone. Another happy customer, thank you sir.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I have read forum after forum, and they were all BS. They all left out the jumping the pins. Just push the break pedal and just push the button. None of that works, and i was skeptical of that too. I have done enough work to know there should be a little something else.
One of your commenters said that pin 4 is ground. They were right and you dont have to take the jumper out. Just leave it where it is and do the other step without the break.

This fixed my 2009 Honda Accord LX-P with these 4 lights on: VSA, "Triangle with exclamation point", "BRAKE", and ABS light. Thank you!

Had my 2006 CRV scanned at a local shop and left with the VSA indicator on. I watched the video but the ABS didn't behave as described. I tried it three times and moved on to the second step and it cleared it right away! Thank you!

I have a 2004 Acura MDX and the VSA light comes on after an OBD scan by the mechanic. It stays on for over 3 months and I could not remove the VSA warning light despite pressing the "VSA OFF" button to disable the function. Today I followed the procedure as described in the video and it works like a charm. Please do not skip the initial ABS reset step. The VSA warning light is gone. Thank you very much Gerard.

This is truly amazing, It worked with my 2013 Odyssey due to low battery jump star, somehow the ABS and traction control lights came on. I knew my car has nothing wrong with either ABS nor traction control.Follow the procedure, both warning lights went off. Thanks!

Thanks! I popped a check engine light due to a dead thermostat, mechanic used his snap-on megabucks tool to clear the codes after replacing the parts, and it triggered the Triangle and VSA light. I used Pin's 4 and 9, since 4 is the chassis ground, and your trick worked like a charm! Much appreciated.

Thank you sooo much. I had my wife's 2006 Honda CR-V in for a stuck Intake Manifold Modulator fix and when I got the car back the VSA indicator was on and would not go off.
I searched the web for solutions, and got a bunch of different answers.

I filtered out the ones that sounded too hillbilly and tried yours. I skipped the ABS section since only her VSA was on. Bah-Dah-Boom. I got her car fixed! (With your help.) Thanks.

06 acura tl here. Noticed brake lights would not go off. Brake stopper broke into pieces. Replaced that and the brake light switch. Solved the brake light problem. But then VSA and the /!\ lights came on. Vsa button inoperable. Felt like while trying to drive I had the brake pedal and accelerator pedal pressed at the same time. Scanned codes and 68 and 84 came up. Readjusted the brake light switch. I had it in too far. Scanned again and got the 2 same codes. But the car drives fine. VSA light disappeared but the /!\ light remained. Followed the steps provided by this video and all lights on the dashboard are off. Car drives fine. Afraid to plug up the scanner and run the codes again. Don't want to trigger the dash lights. Thank you! Hope this didn't deactivate the ABS and VSA systems but don't want to press the VSA button again either. Again thank you for this video I was ready to throw a lit match to this car.

Thanks so much, worked first try! I believe the light came on after a scan while my Honda pilot was in the shop. The shop was unable to remove the light. No more dash lights for me, thanks again.
