I really like what you are saying about confidence and knowing humans all hold equal worth. As someone who is strong at active listening and at asking questions or making others feel special it does get frustrating when this happens consistently. If interest in one another is not shared, then it feels like the person is not leaving any space for me, lacks social skills and is selfish in a way. It happens with strangers, work meetings, during dates… and I am drained after. It should be an exchange not a one way monologue.

With my very first in-class presentation in 5th grade, I was so nervous that I cried openly when delivering my speech and looked at the teacher in the back of the room while literally everyone was laughing at me. Let other people judge you and think whatever they want of you. It is a reflection of themselves and how they themselves see the world around them. Be your authentic self and focus on how you see yourself and do whatever you are called to do.

In 2023 I had an MA program where I told my mentor ( who was supposed to guide me all the way through ) my dream job and they laughed at me and tried to tell me that it is "impossible." The joke was on them, because I decided to outright abruptly leave the MA program and relocate and now I am doing exactly that. Do not ever let anyone in this world tell you you cannot do something. Do not ever allow someone to project their own insecurities and self-doubt onto you. You can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.
