Check out the teaser trailer from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new feature film “Strange World.” Jake Gyllenhaal (“The Guilty,” “Spider-Man: Far from Home”) lends his voice to Searcher Clade, the son of a steadfast explorer. The original action-adventure journeys deep into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission. Helmed by Don Hall (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Raya and the Last Dragon”) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer “Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Tangled”), “Strange World” releases November 23, 2022.

Intriguing... most intriguing. I'm really curious to see what type of story is developed for these characters in this fascinating world. A farmer turned hero isn't a new concept, but hopefully a new world and a lot of Disney heart will turn it into something to remember!

"Strange World" really reminds me of "Atlantis: The Lost Empire", which is another Disney Classic. Can't wait for this.💯

Atlantis and Treasure Planet were both bangers. I guess they didn’t do well in theaters or whatever but they have high quality world building and storytelling

Super excited to see this film as it gives me "Journey to the Center of the Earth", Atlantis and the Pulp Serial Action Sci-Fi vibes which Don Hall did confirmed the latter as his inspiration. On top of that, it's also Walt Disney Animation Studios' first Science-Fiction film in a while considering that the last Sci-Fi animated films were _Atlantis: The Lost Empire, _ _Lilo & Stitch, Treasure Planet, _ and _Meet the Robinsons_ the latter of which was released almost 15 years ago, so I do hope we get more Sci-Fi animated films from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Finally, what I'm also excited is that this film has a leading male protagonist and it's a breath of fresh air to have a Disney animated film with a leading male protagonist since for the most part in the last 10-13 years it's mostly the female protagonist as the leading character and occasionally in some of the animated films the male protagonist is either the deuteragonist (Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert, Nick Wilde, Maui) or a tritagonist (Kristoff in Frozen). The *ONLY* Disney animated films to have a male protagonist for the past decade were _Wreck-It Ralph/Ralph Breaks the Internet_ (Ralph) and _Big Hero 6_ (Hiro).

I’m very impressed with how fluid the animation is and how the characters squash and stretch more to look like a 2D animated film. I’m really looking forward to seeing this!

I remember someone saying that if you want to design weird aliens, take inspiration from sea creatures. And this film looks like they did just that, in the best way. Looking forward to seeing this!

I wish Disney would get not only creative with world and creature design, but also their animation style for once. They go for more and more Hyper-realism in addition with the same style of how characters are animated.

Idk what it is, but the character designs, especially the eyes, give me Hotel Transylvania vibes. Idk, it’s such a distinct style compared to the usual Disney stuff that it’s honestly kinda refreshing

This came on during our premiere night of Thor, absolutely stellar trailer, grabbed my attention instantly, and held me on with how breathtaking the world looks, title card bit gave me goosebumps too.
