You skipped important definition at very beginning therefore turning your lecture in to propaganda.
Crime and deviance are socially constructed.

*We* do *NOT Ever* control anyone else, nor can anyone else control us, certainly not the "government" control anyone at all; any attempts to control others, by anyone, will inevitably fail, and lead to the end of those who try to control anyone else, no matter the odds of success they may have- they will for certain fail, and forever. As it is an impossible goal to control another, for any reason at all, no matter what.

Social norms, norms in general, and social customs and rules do *not* matter at all; what does is *Ethical* laws, moral law; and nothing else. Society has literally no possible say on any of that, nor will it ever.
