Another possibly unknown mechanic for Atlas:

He has a small time window before gaining cc immunity in his ult so you can use a flameshot to mess him up or natan 2nd skill. This one should be a known fact.

Now for the unknown: Atlas also has a tiny delay (literally 0, 1s) between his cc immunity and Harpoon throw state. I call this the calculation stage where Atlas ult searches for enemies. This basically means you can stand in the middle of ling's ult, immune his airborne and catch him as he lands before he can even use a dash. Did this twice a row in classic, where i tested this theory and it worked. Im certain that ling was flabbergasted lmao. Practice the timing. If you're a long term Atlas player it shouldn't be hard to do but it'll take some time to get used to it.

Actually any direction of skill 2 will do with flicker. Just have to do it fast and aim in the enemy direction. Distance is the same. Not more than a turret span.

Oh that's why there's been a surge of atlas lately. Well they've been catching a lot of enemies right now with the ult but the downside is no teammate were near them. I'm doing that trick since they released his starlight skin but I didn't do it in rank only in the classic, I thought that was a bug at that time, till now they didn't fix it 😅 maybe it wasn't really a bug after all 😂

The actual reason why it works, is that Atlas splits in 2, and only the front part is that actual dash direction. By how it's coded, Atlas just dashes towards the direction he's facing, rather than extend the range of the flicker

Hypothetical Explanation:
Skill: “Perfect Match” has a dash upon cast, the momentum from the dash gets added onto Flicker extending the distance covered by the skill.

Flicker also rotates your Hero towards the direction where you dashed, this also explains how the momentum gets transfered and the instant-proc of “Perfect Match”

Actually you don’t have to use his skill 2 facing backward b4 flicker towards the enemy direction. I tried all direction; backward/forward/left/right & then flicker towards the enemy it still works.
