Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill began a landmark visit to deeply Catholic Poland Thursday, but the trip risked being overshadowed by an outcry over the much-anticipated Pussy Riot verdict. There are an estimated 900 thousand Orthodox in Poland.
It is a sin that the disrespectful and anti-Chrsitian actions of these girls were even given any publicity. They are a disgrace and it is unfortunate that certain groups around the world supported their blasphemous acts. If this happened in a mosque there would have been dire consequences. Why isn't there an outcry over the situation of Christians in the Middle East?

Their denomination and mine have been moving towards closer collaboration for many years now. I'm all in favor of anyone and anything that contributes to a more peaceful, respectful environment. My decision to be charitable and welcoming shouldn't concern someone who is into being snarky and disparaging, now, should it?
