Petliura was Zelensky of that time and we all know how he and such Ukraine ended...and as Mark Twain once said. History maybe not repeat itself but rhymes...

Thanks for this short video on history! It deserves more views. As back then, we Polish naturally stand with Ukrainians 🇺🇦🇵🇱 today aswell, regardless of political affiliation, christian or non-religious, gender identity and other internal differences in modern Poland. We both have a common goal... and that is to stop soviet Russian imperialism and to make sure that Europe remains democratic.

Let us not forget that Petliura was the supreme commander of the UNA when the latter exterminated tens of thousands of innocent Jewish civilians. And he was not assassinated by an NKVD operative; he was assassinated by a Jewish poet named Shalom Shwarzbard, who was an anarchist, not a bolshevik, and who acted out of a desire to punish the man responsible for the pogroms in which his family was killed. We should stand with Ukraine now against Russian imperialism, but that does not mean Ukrainians get to heroize a mass murderer like Petliura.
