To be honest, being the smartest person in the room and somehow still making the dumbest decision possible is pretty accurate for Reed Richards

Star-Lord smacking Thanos should've been a tie with Thor for number one

Correction: Thanos didn’t get the time stone by force, Doctor Strange gave it to him so that Iron Man wouldn’t die

Thanks for mentioning Drax calling Ronin. I always thought that was a dumb thing to do and was always unhappy that it was never on lists like this.

If we're going with a Loki mistake, I think taking the Tesseract from the weapons vault in Ragnarok is arguably much worse than calling to open the Bifrost earlier in the movie. Taking the Tesseract led to Thanos finding the Asgardian ship and killing most of their people - including Loki and Heimdall - and getting his hands on one more of the stones. I'd say that's probably Loki's worst mistake in the MCU.

Peter really should have thought harder about asking Dr. Strange to make everyone forget he was Spider Man

I’m surprised T’Challa willfully putting everything on the line in combat vs Killmonger wasn’t on this list. That was a really stupid decision. He didn’t have to do that and only did so because the plot needed him to.

The thing about Tony inviting the bad guys to his house: not only did he tell The Mandarin where he lives… he revealed his home address to the entire public. WHO DOES THAT?

To be fair, I think Quill smacked Mantis' hand, hurting her and making her let go of Thanos. Which is also what I believe to be the reason Illuminati won against Thanos much easier, as Xavier could have mind cripple Thanos while Reed uses himself to restrain him. But Quill's mistake, no matter how idiotic, is reasonable and in character. But the supposed Smartest Man Alive telling the opponent of his friend's main power and, essentially how to stop him, is a different level of foolishnes, and something I think cannot be overstated.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait a minute. #9 should’ve been titled “Tony/Iron Man bequeathing E.D.I.T.H. to Peter”. Up until the reveal, EVERYONE believed in Beck’s deception, even Talos who was covering for the real Nick Fury. So when Peter gave E.D.I.T.H. to Mysterio, he believed he was giving it to someone who would use the defense system more responsibly. In conclusion, it wasn’t a “stupid decision” because unlike everyone else on this list Spidey was applying common sense.

I feel like Doctor Strange going against Wong’s warnings and doing the spell in No Way Home is still one of the worst choices ever made. He’s this “expert” in magic, but didn’t consider the consequences, didn’t bother to inform Peter of the consequences, and together they really couldn’t come up with a better plan?

Peter: "I know, I'll have Doctor Strange make everyone forget I was ever Spider-Man with a magic spell."

MJ: "Have you thought that through recently?"

Peter: "Oh sure, he knows everything about what I need."

Scientist: "Here's a bright idea: How about you go over the details over who forgets you're Spider-Man and who doesn't before you have Doctor Strange cast a mind-altering spell just because you're too desperate to fix everything."

Peter: "Ughh... fine."

Peter: "Okay, so some of the people who I don't want to forget I'm Spider-Man are my girlfriend, my best friend, Aunt May, Happy, Fury, and you. Go crazy on everybody else."

Doctor Strange: "Alright then. Now I can cast the spell. See how easy it is to go over the details?"
