Serious observation here, unrelated to this video's focus specifically: Jack + Falcon == consistently delightful, playful, and *human*. Gotta do a quick plug and say that Arturia have JUST dropped MiniFreak V, the identical plugin version of the MiniFreak. Exact same engines, FX, modelled the analog filters etc. So if you have an 88-key controller already and want the MiniFreak's sounds, it's on sale right now for like a month. I've got to say, they release this as a VST/AU plug yesterday, and it is an impressive little soft synth. Sounds really great, particularly if youre into lofi/chilled electronica. It really shines at pad & organ/e-piano-esq key sounds. Suprisingly great. The effects in particular are superb. But the whole thing is laid out in such an inspiring way, it really is pretty hard to get it to sound bad.

Also, if your already an arturia customer, you can get the V-Collection with it at the best discount price they have ever done as far as I know. I got this and the rest of the collection for £170 last night. Insanely good deal.

Jack looks so much more at home on 88 weighted keys …. It gives him scope for his beautiful drop 2 voicings etc …..splitting the Nord in two …Nord in the left hand, mini freak in the right hand would have been super interesting to hear also .. maybe the follow up video !!

The new Mini Freak V vst plugin reminds me a lot of Pigments 4. Pigments 4 is a gem of a synth.

Use the Minfreak with a 88 key midi keyboard if I need the extra octaves at once. Really helpful to have that option if needed.

Also pretty rad idea to use this small formfactor keyboard as an extension for external section of the nord! Would appreciate if you'd maybe mix and match some sounds of both!

I like the larger Micro Freak (Macro Freak?). I can't use any mini keys, hands are too large :( so I was very pleased to see the new version. Now I gotta try the 88 key controller w/ it as well! Thanks for sharing this.

Wow! What were the settings for Bass-Fog Dist at 6:47 ? Always loved that sound as a kid of the 80’s
I was planning on buying the MiniFreak but now that they released the vst recently so I purchased that. Glorious sound this software possess. Amazing
