I have cruised with Carnival more than a few times, and I would like to know who is booking Excel suites and Havana cabins and why. Given the price and the size of the cabins, what's the benefit of doing this.

The dream is a 15 year old ship and has 30 more sq. ft. per interior stateroom (even more if you get one of those sweet aft porthole rooms!). I'm honestly aghast at how tiny and miserably cramped the interior staterooms are on the excel class ships. All because they wanted to put in more bars smh. I could see if these were single occupancy rooms like the ones on RC, but putting two people in 158 sq. ft.? Yuck.

I'll suffer through this first trip, but I think I'll keep to the older ships in the future.
