Their is a good reason why Putin is upset about the use of these U.S. provided longer range missiles.
The missiles the Ukrainians are using require U.S.military personnel involvement coordinated with satellites and this is why Putin is really upset.
Of course they are causing serious damage to military targets in Russia, but the fact that these missiles require U.S. military to use because they are too specialized for the Ukrainians to use without U.S. military help is why Putin is freaking out over it.

When it comes to peace negotiations, Ukraine can hold the narrative by first claiming that they are willing to give up land for peace, , this will force Russia to the negotiating table, if Russia refuses than Trump will be forced at that point to back Ukraine.
