I find it difficult to comprehend that some people believe people of different colors shouldn't be a family.. family is made of love not color

I’m a Cuban, and Spaniard and my husband is German, and Puerto Rican it’s sad when people stare. Since we are both mixed our child came out choosing his own style. Lol he has dirty blonde hair that’s wild with huge curls, hazel eyes like my dad, and beautiful tan skin. I always tell my baby how beautiful he is, because I want him to love everything he is. Our child is proof that mixed children are like a bag of skittles you never know what your going to get. ❤

The fact that you guys comedically captured the truth which could occur at any time when they see an African American mother with a child that does not appear, to their ignorant mind, to be their biological child is heartbreakingly sad. But the fact that you guys are up for and show up to that challenge and re-educate them, daily, is most important! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This happened to me at a Walmart; my son is dark skinned due to his black dad, I’m Mexican but on the lighter skinned. Anyways, I was shopping with my ex when my son was 6 months old. Some lady came up to me and asked if my son was mine, I said yes. My ex had gone to the bathroom, then the lady started saying that I kidnapped my son and called security. I kept telling her that my son was in fact my kid, but she didn’t believe me. Security shows up, the lady is in full swing talking about how I took someone else’s baby. My ex shows up and upon seeing that my son looked JUST like his dad, the security guards and the lady backed off.

I never thought about it,
Our dad would take us on Saturday to the goodwill and thrift stores so our mom could have the house to herself.
We are white skinned and our dad is native American with very dark skin ... no one ever said anything to us about it.
Makes me think that the mind set of people today are causing this behavior....

Its crazy to imagine but does happen. Someone literally reported me in New York at a show and reported my child as "uncomfortable" and "out of place".She was 5. I'm glad u can have a sense of humor while sharing of your experiences

So I was babysitting my nephew one day. He is mexican and I am white. I never babysat him before alone and really never saw him unless it was a birthday or holiday. He was around 8 yrs old at the time. Also spanish was his first language. Anyway he got stung by a bee. He ran inside and he was starting to swell in his face and neck. I was never told he was allergic or anything. I rushed him to the hospital because he was literally going to die. On the way there I was trying to tell his mom what was going on but she spoke spanish and my spanish is limited. Because I wasn't his mom they needed her permission to give him an epi shot. I tried to explain his mom was coming and there was a language barrier. Well when the Dr and nurses were in the hall they were whispering thinking I kidnapped my nephew because he was Mexican and I was white. They couldn't comprehend I was his aunt?!? Literally they almost killed him! Plus while his throat swelled shut they were interrogating him asking if I really was his aunt!! Finally his mom came but she didn't have his insurance card with her and her house was 45 min away in another county. The security made her get it and proof of identity before they would let her take her son. Needless to say they got an ear full from me and I refuse to go back to that hospital!!

This comment may go unnoticed. But I want to thank you for sharing your journey. I was raised in a white family and I didn't get my culture as an African. I love how you are with your daughter.

My mom said that back in the 60s, she was accused of kidnapping my sister who is 100% percent Black American, but is light skinned. She is the complexion of Jasmine Guy/ Tamela Mann. My mom is dark. She was constantly stopped by law enforcement.

Girl moms....are on another level. The cuteness overload is real.

With boys...cuteness overload then they do something gross...knocks you out of it.

She is so adorable!!!
