My stroke, 5 years ago in a Dublin, Ireland truck stop.Never smoked, in good shape. However, Doctors were alarmed at my work level, 11 years driving fuel trucks for US Military in Iraq. I forget how many IEDs we drove through. 6 weeks in a wheelchair and " never quit " attitude. This former Royal Marine got his act together and finally walking every day. Happy to be alive.

I wish that everyone who sees this pays attention. My daughter passed away in 2012. She was 22 years old. She had a massive stroke stroke. The last day i saw her alive she told me she had gotten real dizzy at work and often complained of headaches and vision problems. I just said to her that she had health insurance and to go to her doctor. She died 2 days later. I wish i would have known these signs...i kind of knew some of them but was mistaken thinking that the elderly died from strokes. Please dont make the mistake that I made. I will never forgive myself for this.

These are also symptoms of major anxiety.. I fell when running and hurt my hips and I have had some of these symptoms. Off balance, fatigue, blurred vision in one eye, but that is from being on my phone all day. Trauma can bring on a lot of these symptoms. Praying God touches people in a mighty way.

My oldest son was removed from life support 2 weeks before his 50th birthday. He had a devastating burst vein in the area of his brainstem. He was found unconscious in the bathroom with his head over the toilet as though he had felt nauseous. Was on high blood pressure medication. He worked long and hard for his family. Heartbreaking to lose him

Thank you for this information. I had a TIA in my early 50s. It was the scariest couple of minutes in my life. I lost vision temporarily in my left eye. I could not speak for help, because the words would not come out. So I just stood there and let it pass. I didn't realize I had a stroke, so I never went to the hospital. My doctor put me on a medication that's supposed to prevent further strokes. I was lucky. All my functions seem normal, except sometimes I slur my words or they don't come out right, when I speak them. I feel very blessed to have survived it. Take care everyone.

These are the things that my husband's doctor told him that contributed to his stroke last year.

For 10 days I suffered from loss of balance while on nightly exercise walks. I went to the Emergency Dept of a major public hospital in Perth Australia and the so-called doctor diagnosed Vertigo and referred me to a private practice specializing in inner ear problems. They taught me the Epley Maneuver which is used to treat a particular cause of vertigo, and then sent me home. Two days later I suffered a stroke and was admitted to the stroke clinic of the same hospital. It's too bad for me that the first doctor didn't do his job. I will never work again and my 2 teenage daughters no longer have a father who can support them.

A had a dural subaracnoid hemorrhage centered around my eighth cranial nerve December 14, 2006 at about 2 AM. It was caused by an AVF, an arterial venous fistula, which means I probably had a venous blood clot that blocked a vein and the vein grew around the clot and attached to an artery. Bc veins have low BP and arteries are high, the connection ruptured causing a hemorrhage. I had none of the common stroke symptoms. No weakness, no slurred speech, no loss of balance, no dizziness at first and no confusion. I had a bad headache and my neck felt weird, I knew the symptoms of stroke but since I didn't have any other of those symptoms I thought at first that I'd hurt my neck over the last 5 days moving into the new apartment where I was living. So I lay in my bed trying to go to sleep. I dozed off and on and over a two hour period, my headache got worse and began to have severe vertigo, the ceiling was spinning, and I felt very nauseated. My head hurt so badly that the thought of standing up to get to the bathroom to throw up or even get up at all was so awful that I continued to lay in bed and tried to be perfectly still. By 7 AM I decided to call 911 mainly bc I had figured out that this was way out of the realm of any headache I'd ever had in my life. At the hospital I had a CAT scan that showed my entire scull was full of blood. After that I had an angiogram in order to see where the blood was coming from and I was told about the AVF. I was in the neurosurgery ICU for a week to monitor my heart. A month later I had brain surgery to remove the AVF. The neurosurgeon said to slowly get back to my usual daily activities and to not worry about another AVF. I have read since then that head trauma can cause the clot where mine occurred and that a medication I took for a while called Evista was known to cause clots. I was 56. Birth control also can cause strokes. The day before the stroke some heavy things fell and bumped my head. The neurosurgeon said there's no way to know for sure what causes an AVF. So, take home message is if you ever have something happen that is different than anything you've ever experienced in your life call 911 and go to a hospital immediately. Do not wait like I did. I was very lucky. At the ER a neurologist said I had "no deficits." I was perfectly lucid, just in a lot of pain and experiencing vertigo and nausea. I weighed about 120, 5'4", normal BP, normal cholesterol. I had just gone through a terrible divorce that lasted 3 years due to my ex refusing to provide his legally mandatory financial documents and hiding assets even though it was his idea to divorce and he'd moved on to a new relationship. It was a very stressful and difficult time, so that may have contributed, too.

Sir. It's a very informative video.
But the back ground music is so loud . It was very hard to understand what you are saying.
I think there is no need of music. Thanks
