I made perfectly spherical, clear ice balls using this device following your instructions, thank you!

I made a couple of adjustments: fill the bottom with warm water until it just touches the silicone tray, put the top and bottom molds together first - press them together firmly at all places so you don't get equator rings on the balls. Then put the mold in the big container. Fill the spheres with *cold/iced* water using a funnel. Rotate around all the spheres. Water finds its level so as you fill one it is emptying and the others are filling from the bottom up (with warmer water), so rotate around all of them a few times to make them all cold. Directional freezing is the whole point, so we want the top cold and freezing first and the bottom warm(er). This is a bit of a pain. Then I weighed the mold down with an ice pack - it floats a little which could empty the top of the mold slightly - and put it in the middle of the freezer.

It's definitely better than a cloudy ice ball or cube... Seems like the instructions suck.. I've seen several videos on how to make clear ice in bulk. I can't remember exactly how they did it at the moment cuz I've had a few too many drinks meself.... But I'll see if I can send them your way later. Very nice test on that product. I'd say, from what I've seen in the past w clear ice, ....worth it, for easy ice balls. Nice job!
