Sea Hare, the Best Clean Up Crew

Pat is my 5 month old Dolla Bella Sea Hare. Pat prefers hair algae to the seaweed algae sheets I buy and provide. The Sea Hare grows very fast. It is extremely gentle moving around all of the corals, it only knocks one down once in awhile if it isn't glued down properly. If you have a large reef tank that has lots of algae and fish that won't pick at inverts, a Sea Hare may be a good choice. but always have extra algae or Seaweed on hand. they eat lots! mine eats the tank algae plus my algae sheets. I have handled Pat, to move it a few times, no problem, no inking, but a Sea Hare can squirt toxic ink when hurt or frightened. so be careful who it is housed with, no aggressive fish that would eat on it, and be gentle when handling or moving. Pat is my favorite animal in my tank and I may have to get a larger tank SOON.
