I was wondering why it didn't seem like they brought up a lot of Eggman's stuff. I'm not a huge expert on Sonic lore, but I was surprised many of the other Metal Sonics and gang, like Metal Knuckles from the IDW Comics and games were never brought up.

It feels like they left out a lot of stuff that could've helped Eggman win. Like even more recent games like Sonic Superstars where Eggman built that time machine that could selectively reverse time and undue damage to his army or Metal Sonic (I say selectively since it didn't affect him or the player). Even older games lile Shadow the Hedgehog where he has an army of Shadow clones/androids capable of using Shadow's abilities.

And if we're considering non-cannon material, then Eggman has access to the Mirror Fighters from 2012's Sonic the Fighters, which is a UFO that scans a target and makes a perfect replica with all their abilities (to my knowledge). Not to mention the fact it feels they barely took speed into consideration when discussing the fight, which is weird considering who the contestants are.

I feel I can go on and on about things they didn't consider, but I'll leave it there. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it really feels like they sold the Mad Doctor short.
