I never tigged pipes I first used a 6010 or 6011. Then I use a 7018 or a 7024 rod. Then I slide a 1 foot cupling over the welded area after I grinded the welds smooth, then I weld the cupling on both sides. This keeps the weld from being damaged or cracking by being dropped in a 4 to 6 foot ditch. Learned this from the army Corp of engineers. Also my grandfather. Back in the 70's

I have looked through the gap to tig or 5P the other side.. but putting the wire through.. kinda different...

Only way baby 💯 but before you come up the sides close out the top from 10 to 2 then and only then you can watch the close ups picking up the edges ✅️
