Disguised Toast has called on Twitch for being cheap and racist when it came to offering streamer deals, saying he was given a tiny contract offer in 2019 because Twitch had signed Faker, and so they told him they already had asian representation.

Disguised toast just finished his Facebook Gaming contract, and when he went on Twitch to talk about potentially signing a deal with a new platform, he revealed that not only was Twitch known as the cheapest platform, normally offering less then youtube and a third of what Facebook offered, but telling the story of how Twitch had lowballed him because they “already had a big asian content creator” in Faker signed...even though Faker streamed barely once a month.

While Disguised Toast mentioned that he was going to get in trouble for revealing this info, and joked about deleting the Twitch VOD, he revealed that his agents had pitched Twitch that they needed to keep him on the platform because he was a very big streamer and there was very little asian content creator representation on Twitch back in 2019, which led to Twitch giving him a tiny offer because they thought they were covered by just signing Faker.

And apparently, even without the potentially racist reasons for Toast’s lowball offer, the Offline TV member revealed that Twitch is almost always the cheapest platform, and always offers deals worth a fraction of what YouTube or Facebook would pay. Given how huge Disguised Toast has become since 2019 with his work with OfflineTV and the big Among Us boom...Twitch comes off looking not only cheap and potentially racist, but incredibly dumb and shortsighted as well.
