"Usually pc video cards can often render games at much higher frame rates than 60fps"
I looked at the GeForce 920m seal on my notebook. And cried on the corner.

It's worth to mention tearing happens at any FPS, it's the inherit lack of synchronization that causes this. FPS passing said refresh Hz of your screen is not a barrier where you start seeing tears it's just you'll get more of them at higher FPS because you just have more frames in general.

Typical AMD vs nVidia
AMD - transparent, flexible, free, open
nVidia - screw over AMD at any cost!

Linus even 5 years ago does such a good job giving informative video talks. LMG sure has grown, and this is just one good reason. There are many more. Stay sharp Linus. See ya.

I got to admit AMD are really stepping it up. I want AMD to beat Nvidia, they are always looked at as second place.

But they seem to produce better priced cards and now better software...

I use a Shitty gts 450 so fan boy not even once

That was the best explanation of V-sync vs G-sync vs Freesync I've heard so far. Thanks for getting right to the point.

"Since the monitor's getting more than 1 image per second" - wut

It's no so much tearing that I want to avoid, although that is nice, but the huge benefit of reducing or eliminating stuttering. That's what I hate the most. It seems to me that Gysync or freesync will be especially valuable in SLI/Crossfire setups, where stuttering is more prevalent

0:55 Since the monitor is getting more than 1 image per second? I sure hope so! But thats not the cause of screen tearing.

Simple as usual, AMD is more for Budget Build or Gamers
NVIDIA well, It's like an Iphone, slap on NVIDIA name on the products, you can sell them least 50% more for the actual price. So Im happy on AMD =)
Brace yourself, here comes the NVIDIA fanboys hate comments, Amen !

I'm so used to play with high fps on a 60hz monitor that I don't notice tearing that often.
I play a lot of csgo and I go up to 300 fps but I really don't notice tearing probably because I'm focused
