Ok, big tip for disentangling synthetic hair: lightly cover a comb with silicone lube and use it to brush the fake hair. With just enough to dampen the comb, it will gently coat the strands and keep them from tangling again. It's a trick I learned from a longtime exotic dancer and raver who I saw wearing wigs more often than her real hair.

Edit: since Lexi is a learning tool, perhaps this would be a good opportunity to try out the technique next time the school is ready to change out the hair. You won't have to worry about the lube messing up the hair if you are planning to replace it right away.

fun fact: you can put heat on synthetic hair but you have to be very careful and it isnt recommended if youre in beauty school! (Im saying this because I was told NEVER put heat on synthetic hair when stylish cosplay wigs which is a LIE!)
