I've showered and swam with mine more times than I can count. Still works, no issues.

I work as a lifeguard. I’ve had this watch for about 3 years. Being in and out of the water a lot. Have never had an issue with it

This is such a common misconception. 50m means you can swim just not dive. I have showered for years with a 50m watch

Most field watches in history had 50m or lower water resistance and were good enough. Unless you plan on diving, it’s all you’ll ever need.

I’ve never understood how 50m resistance equates to not being able to shower with it. 🧐

My F-91W is 3atm yet i use it for diving. These companies just say that to avoid insurance and refund issues. 50m water resistance is more than capable for an average man.

I don't do anything intentional to get my Hamilton Khaki wet but having said that I work with it in the rain and I've fallen off of the boat and also into the pool with it on my wrist several times in the 4 years I've had mine. Zero issues so far. All in all I'm very happy with mine. Also of note the sapphire crystal is almost scratch proof while the case has taken quite a few battle scars. I recommend this watch.

That's one of the reasons I chose to buy a Timex Expedition North mechanical field watch instead. It has 100m WR, sapphire crystal, and is almost half the price. Works great!

The one exact reason I went for the Alpinist back then.

I personally almost always bathe with a watch on, so it all gets washed, I have several watches that are only 50 meters water resistant. never had a problem with any of them

mine is fine, 3 years passed, showered and swam almost everyday, no problem with it..

I don’t get it. If it’s 50m water resistant, doesn’t it mean it can get submerged in water up to 50m deep? If so, it logically can get washed in the shower.

Khaki is an Indian word , but I don't know what does it mean in this case

You can have hand wind with a screw down crown. I've got two...

Yep! It's sad, but it is what it is. If you want more, pay more. But with many affordable and incredible pieces around Hamilton still has it's own gravitational pull, making the buy driven by heart not reason.

If you want to wear your watch in the water get a dive watch. 50 meters WR will cover you for any normal water exposure. Any watch should be tested regularly for water resistance if you plan on using it in the water as gaskets deteriorate.

My military watch is a Suunto that we were issued back in the day in Afghanistan-I’ve had it 14 years and it’s a bit battered but still works perfectly-can you review them as it’s still my every day wear🤙🏽

I read so many reviews of water vapor inside the khaki's and I live in a very humid area, was on the fence but decided I can't take the risk. I have way smaller watches with screw down crowns, so there is a way...
