Good stuff! Just purchased 1914 off Amazon. I likely will modify some rules and your insight is helpful.

I’m hoping this gets a reprint. Love the WW1 theme, but can’t stand the angled and severely distorted map...

I like the Zeppelin rules. I'd been mulling over whether or not to buy them. I do feel that they should only be able to carry 1 infantry, which I still feel like is too much. Also do your strategic bombing rules apply only to enemy capitals? Lastly, what's the deal with Portuguese East Africa on the map? Why is it strict neutral?

We also play on this great IL-map since 4 years now. Only differences to the oob map as I remember were the seamines and Portuguese East Africa wich has the wrong colour. In A&A 1914 Portugal is aligned to France, its colony should have blue colour.

I've always thought the central powers were OP, specifically A-H becomes an unhistorical power house in our groups games. Germany, Ottomans and A-H gang up on Russia and its out quickly and the poor US income isn't enough to make up for the Russian loss.
