Hey Dr. Attia - As an er/pr survivor I just wanted to thank you for venturing into this space and also wanted to tell women who take Tamoxifen to watch their uterus very, very closely. Demand annual ultrasounds at the minimum. Learned this the hard way.

Excellent overview of breast cancer treatment which has evolved in the past century and a quarter. Women in the fields of radiation oncology and nuclear medicine: Vera Peters, MD; Carol Marcus, MD, PhD: and Sylvia Formenti, MD (both radiation oncologist AND medical oncologist) have greatly advanced the practice of breast cancer treatment. I suspect you could offer an entire segment on their contributions. Your efforts to educate are appreciated. GJBrownDO 11/10/2023 13:30 Eastern

Triple negative and tumor operated… unsure to do through chemo… would like immunotherapy but wasn’t offered… I’m going to ask for radiotherapy first because a 2nd dr consulted don’t like the margins of the tumor… seems the operating dr was too nice 😮
A bit lost at the moment… thanks for all the info 🙏🤷‍♀️🤗

"node negative" = cancer is not in the lymph nodes. Sine qua non = indispensable and essential action, condition, or ingredient.
Why did my wife's MammaPrint test showed HIGH risk, but Oncotype DX showed LOW risk?
I asked her oncologist what was the MammaPrint result that made it high risk. The oncologist said, "Well the company has to make money. They can't just tell how they know". I didn't want to know compounds, solutions, timing, temperatures and methods! Just 'why'.
