In Australia one can go to uni and do med degree straight out of school, not a high enter hence so many dopy doctors.

Before you can get into medical college you have to have a bachelors degree before you can take MCAT. One can get into medical college straight out of High school through BS/MD and BA/MD programs but there are requirement to qualify for the programs like being top 95th percentile or higher SAT and near top of your class with a high GPA. Once you complete the program you can take the MCAT. They need to expand their list of job/professions. Parents can not ask to be paid for things spent on for the raising of their child. OP does not owe squat to father. Story is not about someone in the US when they bring up "filial".
