Updated 5 year old Dell laptop from HDD to SSD. Boot up time changed from 2 min 30 second to 14 seconds! Used Crucial ka migration tool.

Small advice, install fresh windows when u replace ur hdd with ssd(donot use any clone app). For best performance! I am using crucial mx500 sata 3

Bhai, do not confuse between SSD and NVME M. 2 SSD. This is NVME M. 2 SSD, the faster than SSD. This kind of slot is not available in older laptopa. Still 2.5 Inches Regular HDD can be replaced with 2.5 Inch Sata SSD in older laptops to gives them new lease of life.

I have a 2014 1TB HDD on my PC, i3 5th Gen, 8GB Ram, GTX480. I started to learn more about PC's since lockdown and now I have moderate knowledge of Hardware and Software. I started tweaking with my PC since 2021, and realized that my long startup time wasn't due to Processor or Ram, but due to my HDD. As I learned in deep about it, I started to make a few tweak to HDD through windows and MoBo. earlier it took about 2 mins for my pc to enter into desktop, after the tweaks, it takes about 15-20 seconds to enter desktop with boot menu disabled(I have Win10 as well as Win11)

I recently do this with my 2012 SAMSUNG laptop .Before installing SSD it take near about 4 minutes to open and now after installing SSD it open under 40 sec .It works and if you wish you can try it.
