To be honest, the game right now is completely playable mod-less, there is ""No NEED"" to install mods since many of the former "Must have needed mods" have been natively implemented in the game by CDPR. The only thing I would recommend is a Flashlight and Skiping Intros. The rest is purely for 2nd play thoughts.

Good commentary. People need to understand that some mods are _foundational_ and you explain it well. You're right to highlight Mod Remover as well. So many people get jammed up when they try to remove or deactivate mods after an game patch without understanding how the process really works.

Could you possibly also cover good character customization mods? There's so many and I can't really tell which ones still work after the latest updates...

Want: flying cars, infinite jump, fall damage mitigation… these all worked on 1.63… have not been able to get working on 2.12

Very happy with 2.1 so far and PL but im thinking about installing those qol mods cheers for the video haven't modded since fo4 and skyrim lol def subhing !

Wish cyber engine tweak worked. Everyone adds it to their list, but it doesn't seem to be a working mod.

so, i tried Cyber Engine Tweaks and the game woudn't start without deleting the hole file with the CET

So, essentially, this mods are frameworks, engine modifications and script extenders to actually run mods, mod utilities and a mod loader...I usually mod RPGs, for the unofficial patches, qol and additional quests, but this time all this hassle seems unwarranted. I played the vanilla version without mods and didn't feel the need for them. Right now, with the expansion and patch 2.1 added content and improvements, this is probably one the very few RPGs that I would recommend playing without any mod for the time being.

I have tested this multiple times now and there is a mod on this list that makes going out into the sun blindingly bright and adjusts when your character is in a shaded area. I still have narrowed it down, but it is definitely one of these.
